Hi just wondering if anyone else has purchased or made inquiries about the new model from Clark Boats the 460 Rebel Side Console i have been watching these size boats for awhile and this model has nearly everything i want as standard features, front & rear cast decks plenty of storage , plumbed live well and live bait tank and 60 four stroke plumbed to a 60 litre underfloor fuel tank. As i live to far away i am unable to go and have a look or test ride in this model any help would be appreciated.
I have done one trip in a 485 Dominator and was impressed with it.

Between those two I would probably go a Yamaha but check the Suzukis out two. Suzukis have gained a lot of popularity lately and are on a lot of commercial vessels as well.
I currently have a mercury Sea Pro 25 on my boat and it's never let me down

I have ben looking at the same boat but want to use my 60hp 4 stoke yammy on it. Has only 65 hours since purchased in 2007. I got sick for a long while and bought a 4.4 stessl with a 40 hp yamaha 2 stroke trim and tilt oil injection because it was lighter and could handle it on my own. I fisher Moreton Bay and find the 4.4 just a bit to short for some of our chop plus I like the idea of having more storage under the floors. Just undecided whether to go side console or centre console. I have a bad back and am concerned that even a centre console with its console to far forward might not be as good as the side console on my back.

You might consider another boat. It is also called Rebel but a 4.9m. With a 40 hp it has a fast turn of speed. 103111

The hull is around $10000. There is a nice review of this hull which I include

keep us informed on Ausfish with your progress.

Yes I've seen those boats and they look good 40 HP sounds underpowered
I flick lures in shallow cks and collect live bait so I want to keep the size down for that reason and weight down for towing and use by myself .

Thanks for your help

The Clarks are rated to 75 HP but your 60 HP would be fine

I have a clark 4.35 side console (same hull as the dominator) with a 60hp merc on the back and has the same sort of setup as the 460 great boat and goes well with a 60hp. according to the specs it is 4.46m so I would be intrigued to see the acutally length of the rebel boat.

They are measuring boats from the bow roller in some factories so there's always surprise or disappointment when u get out the tape measure .

Apparently these boats have a similar hull and design to the Clark Fishmaster 430 series which they sell a lot of

I went shopping for boats and nothing could come close to the clark fishmaster unless there was another 5 or 6 thousand on the price tag. All Australian made

After 15 hours on the water I'm very Happy with the Rebel 4.60
Handles well and feels solid have got wet in a side chop when there is some swell but is definitely a well layed out and safe fishing platform I would happily take 40 kms offshore in the right conditions .
