Hooker 5 m transducer

Looking into moving airmar p66 transducer on hooker pro fisherman.wondered if any one has the same setup working well.the previous position working ok but would loose bottom on the plane.I have played with the depth and angle to the transom as I mounted it to a plastic block to make adjustments without drill holes everywhere in the hull.Cheers yamp sorry for the upside down pic

Better to clip the transducer in before adding water?????

Try to give us some photos with the transducer in place - a side on view to show the angle in relation to the water surface and a stern view looking straight in line with the bottom of the hull. There are no skin fittings/water pickups in front of the transducer is there?
