VMR not open during the week?

I have the waterside assist with the VMR Sandgate mob,

They issue a member card which has there phone number on it,

I needed to update my details with them so I call mid week but no answer, no big deal its not urgent, but worryingly there is no after hours forwarding and no after hours number listed on the card.

So what happens if I go fishing during the week and I need a tow, do I have to call the water police and get slugged a fee?

Some VMR stations arent open during the week no, i would have expected a diversion to an emergency phone,

But if you get in Trouble and need assistance and VMR sandgate arent open, Call the water police, They will have a direct contact to the Emergency number for them.

Alternatively, Join Coast Guard at Redcliffe, Open every day of the week, and the phone definately diverts to emergency contact after hours.
