The guys that service the shipping beacons in the bay need one of those very impressive bit of boat.

Yup, that is cool. Would imagine it's pricey and if it all goes wrong - VERY exciting.

Hope the motors like a drink, looks like they cop a heap. Soft riding boat though.

Nice.. Is it Seadoo style suspension upscaled?

Not bad for all the old fellas that hate copping a flogging on the way out when it's rough.

Interesting but reckon it could lead to a few squashed fish between the hulls when your bringing them in, also a bit tall for me, i like to rinse the fingers in the briny after baiting up with mullet gut

G'day Looks awesome, but would hope that all the mechanisms last a long time, certainly doesn't look cheap to replace. Those engines are getting seriously drenched too Dave

Would like to see those Yammies after 100hrs of that stuff, cant see them engines lasting very long at all

Looks like they are applying the same approach to active suspension that the Williams F1 team perfected in the Senna days ..... Fantastic stuff, although I suspect it would be unbelievably expensive to build, let alone maintain in a marine environment.

Who knows where that thinking may take us in the future. I love that stuff. Clever people.

I now want to see that setup on a hydrofoil hull..
103012

Speaking of hydro hulls, why didn't they take off if smoother ride and better fuel consumption is so important? I understand the flaws of fixed versions with shallow water and trailering/launching etc but the retractable versions were the best of both worlds with normal hull for low speed/beaching/trailering and on the "plane" had smoother ride and economy. If it's because it's too complicated/expensive then the above won't take off either but even the simple fixed designs like this below haven't really taken off, why?

Very very impressive. Would like to see it in a beam sea however - looks top heavy...

Its good to see inventive stuff like this. I think for specific applications it would be excellent - for the average boaty I would hate to be responsible for all those constantly working hydraulics and seals...

Cheers

I could be wrong but I think the western Australian bloke who invented the now banned rally suspension may be behind this.

Great idea, solving the spray issue should be a minor issue for blokes that can come up with this.
