My New Plate Rebel

Hi everyone. This is my first post and as I've really enjoyed the boating chat, in particular boat builds I thought I'd share the experience of my new Rebel 7.2.

Warren the builder has been amazing. Both patient and accommodating.

As with all builds it's been a fair wait and the closer it gets to completion the slower time seems to pass.

I hope my attempt at attaching pictures works out:

Never certain but I'd say about six weeks to wait. Hopefully sooner.

Thanks very much mate. The feedback about them was overwhelmingly positive and the experience of the build has been great. Brisbane Yamaha have been excellent to deal with as well and that outboard should be a monster.

Thanks very much mate. Is going to be the holden atomic green colour on the sides (not metallic though) with a white cabin and topsides. A mate has called it a frog wash but I'm confident it'll look the goods.

Just thought I'd post a couple of photos of the paint prep work happening on the rebel. The painter is doing the fairing work at the moment and should be laying paint soon.

If you have any chance, get your holes in your dash cut prior to paint. Much less swearing if you scratch something

well done mate, good to see another rebel getting built. spent a lot of time in a 7.1mtr. fishing with a skipper who always pushed bad weather and was known for it. the boat always felt safe had no bad habits, even in some terrible stuff, some a bit frightening. but I always felt safe in the girl. soft spot for the rebels as I did my 3 years deck time on one they provide excellent value for money as a great sea boat.

I just thought I'd provide an update on the rebel build. It got primed up today we're getting there.
