Hello,
I was told today that the Mooloolaba boat ramp is now going to be a charge to use ramp.. Is this correct? Was told it was going to be a $12 Charge and you had to buy tokens from the Boat, tackle, fuel shops..
Can anyone please confirm or deny this..
As I would not be happy about this as I have 2 boats and pay 4 registrations ( 2 x Boats 2 x Trailers ) and thought this was meant to cover the maintenance on the boat ramps and for more boating infrastructure..
I hope this is not correct as there has been NIL, NADA, NO PUBLIC CONSULTATION!!!! >:(

The same thing happened down the Tweed but I think that some member posted a link to complain. I sent an email off protesting the charge and a month later they replied that the suggestion was voted out. No more charges. I guess the same thing might have to happen again. Contact whoever is responsible for the ramps and ask the question.

I think this story has probably been floating around since April 1st.
