What size and brand of trailer do you have, and where are you going to?
I spent a bit of time last week ringing around asking this same thingand decided in the end to just wack some new springs under it and ad some extra keel rollers which will be more then enough for what I'm planning.

Im heading up the cape in the end of may And I have a 4.3mtr stessco on a oceanic trailer atm. I have decided to make a whole new trailer from scratch cost for all materials will be around $1400 for all components steel etc + $600 for galvanizing Then another $600 for offroad tyres etc. Reason im doing this Is I want a trailer with full keel support and also shock absorbers. I will also be making the trailer with a swing away draw bar and the capability to carry and store atleast 6 jerry cans plus a 100+ ltr tank underneath the trailer. This is a thread of my last trailer I built for a intended trip up north and feedback from the person who purchased my old boat said it made it there and back without 1 problem.
