Hi all,
Just about to connect my start battery and my deep cycle with a redarc vsr for charging and backup and was thinking of using an Andersen plug between the redarc and the deep cycle so I can easily remove the deep cycle whenever I need to. Just wondering what size Andersen plug to use as the deep cycle might be used to boost the start battery if the start battery ever ends up flat. The normal Andersen plugs (or the ones I'm using at the moment for the bow mount) are rated at 50 amps and I wasn't sure wether they could handle the brief high amperage required at startup. That said I'm not sure exactly how much the engine draws upon starting. The engine is a 40hp ETEC btw.
