Just thought I'd let you know I took my family and friends tubing behind my Sea Jay 4.25 Magnum2 with a 30hp three cylinder two-stroke tiller on the back. The engine is awesome! It tackled open water swell and a two man tube with no problem. Granted there was only me and a spotter on the boat and top weight of two 14yr old boys on the tube (120kg's combined). I am so impressed. I used 3/4 tank on tubing after 6.5hr stint.

I'm a happy man - the kids and missus are happy. Now to use the boat for it's real purpose...goin' fishin'...

Nothing more satisfying than to have the fun you wanted to have when you forked out the hard earned for that rig. Way to go!

Those 3 cyl 30hp Yammies are a cracker of a motor. Mine was the only non-Merc I've owned. Same with my two brothers.

Hi mate,
You made a good choice there mate. I have the same motor except in the 4 stoke version and I love mine. Mine is pushing a "425 Ally Craft Reelmate" and I have clocked up almost 100 hours sine June 2009.

Cheers

Scott you are doing that engine no favours, 100 in 5 years. Put new Honda on my rig nov 2012 we have 290 on it :)

Gary,
I'm heading out tomorrow morning to put a few more hours on the old girl, and hopefully pick up a few sandies at the same time.

Cheers

Nevermind what Spaniard King says Scott! You put as many hours on the boat over however many years you so wish! It's your boat not the legendary Spaniard King.
