Hi guys. Have narrowed my search down to these 2 boats, and would like to know others opinions.
Both around the same money.
Haines 680SF is 94 model with honda 200. Trailer rust issues starting to develop.
Seaswirl Stiper 2101 WA 2001 model, also 200 honda. Alloy trailer.
What do you reckon, and why?
Thanks,
Mike.

Id take the Haines but just make sure the old Haines's hull/floor is good. Bit of negotiating power with the trailer condition to.

Haines with a honda on the back, how could you go wrong?

The dead rise on a haines would be more than the striper's 21 wouldn't it. I think there is more room in a 23 striper than the 680 but probably not with a 21. Striper stringers glass but still has wood transom until 2003.

What are you towing it with? 680 with 200 will be underpowered. 2101 with a 200 should be right. 680 you will know about it on the back of a Landcruiser/Patrol. 2101 will be much more trailerable. 680SFs are crap for putting electronics on. You either have to have a combo behind the wheel and live with that but any big electronics would have to go on the port side which would be a pain. Most Seaswirls have big dashes. Storage is good in a HH.

Gee Rob, my new 8mtr will be interesting with the turbo diesel 100 series Sahara.
Luke tows his 7.6 with the same car easily.

Mick,

have you seen Ben's 10.8m Riptide with the wrap? Met Ben and Lindon on the weekend at the game comp and went for a lap in the basin. What a weapon. Yet to see it on the gooseneck trailer. All the boys said she is a sight to see! Carry knows all about it.
