Have you had any luck selling the cat yet rosco? Would be interesting going to a mono now at least we still have a 5.5 alloy mono that we use a fair bit so that keeps us on our tows after being in the cat.

Haines make the Procrafts for Coastal Powerboats.
I had a good look at them at the boat show. I didn't like the way the front hatch was secured. I could get it to open by bumping it and that would be a concern if it opened while in a sea. I did mention it to Tim from Coastal at the time so he may have passed it on and it may be fixed now.

when the cat sells this is one of the boats ontop of the list..hard to go past for price...they are rated to a 175 so be interestin to see how they go with the 140,more than likely plenty on the bum....might head down on the weekend and crawl over them..get a bit of feed back on them

sorry to damper the sprit mate but I had good 2mnth look at them and there the same as the haines traveller, which aren't the best in the medium chop, and I looked into the 200hp 175hp suz, go the 175hp if u still go the procraft, the 175hp weight to hp power & fuel bill is much better and you'll be doing over 70km.
also if you go to coastal power boats at Burleigh to look at procraft they have the Yalta craft there which are much better hulls.

also baysport boats r worth a look

Rosco,

that is definitely the old seafarer vanquish, with a new name.

As for Yalta V the Procraft, they are more similar than you may think..

Honda

Thought I read somewhere that the Yalta's were an old Seafarer hull, is that what you are hinting at Honda?

Yes, the same thing, I have a Haines TC 200 and it is the same hull, coastal took it over from Haines as the sole distributor ,still manufactured by Haines.
I have a 175 Suzuki on, been everywhere on it.

Cant exactly confirm Hayden, but they look extremely similar, Hull shape, Pod, even the way the top deck attached.

Honda.

Has anyone been in one or bought one? Considering one but still not much feedback or reviews on this model.

Simple answer- it's called badge engineering. Procraft gets the hull manufactured by Haines Group and then fits it out to their own specification to create product differentiation. It's a daily occurrence in the automotive industry and has been for decades i.e. Suzuki and Holden Swift-Barina, Ignis and Cruze; Ford and Mazda commercials; Mazda 323 and Ford Laser; as well as the badge engineering of engines. But back to boats - have a look at the diesel Mercruiser and the 3 litre VW diesel out of the Touareg not to mention the outboards since the 1970's. Some watch movements come out of the same factory but sell in differently branded cases with different faces. And so it goes on...

As far as we can see the hull was not an original Seafarer model but a Haines TC 200 and for some reason it was renamed as a Seafarer by Haines who appear to have have allowed / assisted in the re-badged of it. The one person I know that has one from when it was a Haines seems happy with it.
