70hp Johnson tilt trim leaking

My 70 Johnson is the type that has the tilt trim mounted to the side of the engine. I think that the seal has blown cause when u lift the motor, it leaks out from the ram. Am I able to remove this ram without having to take the motor off? And is the seal easy to replace or would I have to buy a new ram? Thanks.

AFAIK you have to pull the T&T assembly out of the transom bracket.

Tilt it up, use the support bracket, remove the top pin, undo the 3? bolts on either side then the whole thing should come out.
You will have to disconnect & feed the wires out with it.
Once it's out you can then remove the piston assembly.

Mine is weeping so I top it up every now & then.
