chicken for bait

I have become a lure fisherman over the last few years with mixed results......
I asked my 5 yr old what she was getting me for Christmas, and she said bait, she said you can't catch anything without bait, maybe chicken...........

Yep used chicken alot and my best bait was steak. Caught my biggest Flattie ever on a piece of steak.

Your 5yo is a lot smarter than you might think, chicken is a pretty decent bait for a lot of fish.

used to use it yrs ago when i lived in Sydney , i would soak it
in a little tuna oil and used it chasing big bream of the old pier
opposite pier one and it used to work great even caught a couple
hairtale with it.

A mate swears by chicken soaked in tuna oil. Gets some nice catches of bream and squire on it too.
