mudcrabbing this weekend any hot spots

hi guys got some family down for the weekend heading out sat arve to drop 8 pots in just wondering if any1 has a few good areas worth trying tuan/bay/creeks etc

I am going out weds morning with 8 pots. Tried last week down from Potts point through the inside of the island. Only got 1 good size sandy. Going to try another spot so will report on that later. Hopefully the wind will be down in the morning. Hopefully.

Where do you live? I can tell you that Ihave had 4 pots in overnight and now all day in Maroochy River....result about 20 crabs...not 1 keeper....hoping tonight they will attract the big bucks.

Jamie you mention Tuan are you on the Fraser Coast near Poona.

yes bazza I thought of going up near the dew hole someone said bout going by back road but boat seems better for me cover more ground

well got the pots in at 4am this morning only a few keepers round the 16cm mark but the jennys where amazing there was so many in each pot but didn't lure the big bucks in unfortunately all the jennys where round the 17cm+ mark biggest I've seen round wide bay area out of 3 pots we had 14 jennys and 8 males only 3 keepers but hey it's all fun doing it, ive done some research while out in the boat and thinks me found a really good hole with plenty of little inlets so I will hit them next weekend
