How to remove paint pen from a dash

Hi guys, I've recently purchased a new 2nd hand boat and the older owner took to the dash with a with paint pen. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to remove it with damaging the plastic surface? I've tried a few different things, nail polish remover works the best but it destroys and dulls the semi gloss ripple finish.
