G'day all,
I couldn't find a wanted section anywhere so posted here.

I am after a lateish model 15hp outboard, to replace the 8hp yammie on my tinnie, probably just a 2 stroke but would look at 4 depending on cost. Bris yamaha has brand newies for approx $2200 so pretty hard to go past that but I thought I'd look at other options first. I need a short shaft. I am located on the northside of brisbane.

Cheers
Matt

Whoa that's even better, they have the F-N-R tiller too don't they? Might have a look at what dealers on the northside sell Mercs.

Cheaper just to buy a regular anchor than a merc though ;)

The cheaper 15hp mercs are made in Japan by Tohatsu (nothing wrong with them) they're more powerful than other 15's as they're a detuned 18hp (easy as to bump em up to 18hp too). Also 5 year warranty on them if i'm not mistaken, see if they have any 2014 plated ones yet but maybe not yet.

Matt, I have a customer with a late model 15 yamy wanting to downsize to a 6 so an 8 would most likely do him
