Son is thinking of looking at a 2007 Escape Marine Fugitive hull, with a merc on the back. Never had any experience with these boats and hulls. Anyone got comments about them? Good bad indifferent, bad transoms etc? Appreciate any comments. The other hull he looked at was a Nustar.

Thanks

Mike

Escape Marine, at Yatala, built the Fugitive as their first production boat.
It was a pretty shameless copy of a Stejcraft Sportfisher (late 90s model), and the mould/plug making was carried out by a former Stejcraft Employee.
There were some new updated features like the front hatch, heavy duty curved windscreen (with welded grab rail) and I think some protector under the hull...?
They were supposed to be a great boat and an example of other products to come.
Not sure what happened to the builder, and never got to drive one.
Hope that is of interest to you.
