Just want to paint with 2 pack the inside of a Dingie I purchased. I am an experienced painter so dont need help on what paint to use etc. but never had to deal with these pitted electrolysis marks in sections of the surface in the boat.
They are pitted spots, whitish looking corrosion. They aren't deep but obviously shouldn't be painted over as it will just come thru the paint. Is there some particular product to deal with this?
All advice or help appreciated
Cheers!

Mate, why wouldnt you just give a light sand, fine bog it, etch prime it then paint it

Because I think that if the corrosion is not dealt with , it will simply bubble thru eventually
I've also received some ideas from an aircraft painter mate who told me of this phosphoric acid they use on aircraft corrosion before painting

Acid wash then etch prime mate....
Brown vinegar and water 50/50 leave on over night then wash it out Gerni
When i did mine that's what the boat shop told me to do .
Before Painting the inside of it

Odes I have been an aircraft painter for thirty years & the way we treat aluminium is to remove the corrosion with Deoxidine or similar phosphoric acid solution then treat the aluminium with Alodine or similar chromic acid solution. Coat with a two pak epoxy primer then two pak polyurethane top coat. A quick u tube search should give you all the info you need. Good luck with it.
