2001 Honda 130 issues, problems, opinions

Hi,
Just chasing peoples experiences and opinions with these motors in 2001 model. Are there many changes in specification in that size in the years closely following with significant improvement? Also any comments on fuel efficiency, maintenance issues etc etc.

I have read as much as I can find, but don't hear of many issues, but they are getting on in age so would appreciate any comments.

Ask Garry (Spaniard King on here) of GD Marine. He is the guru of all things Honda. I could tell you some of my experiences, but Garry is the man.....

If its the same as 03 there was a recall on the main solenoid, it's a free upgrade if it hasn't already been done, just plugs in. The potting mix was too temperature sensitive causing shrinkage problems in cold temps. Pretty solid otherwise. Get the serial numbers and give them to spaniard king
