electrical problems

Hey guys I have a johnson 25 commercial 2 stroke outboard
And the stop button stopped working . Is there anyone who has had the same problem ?
I don't particularly wanna chase the problem around the whole engine.

Trace the wiring back from the switch. It should have a plug in connection somewhere. Disconnect at that point and see if you can start the motor. If not bridge out the the wiring at the plug connections and try to restart. If successful then remove the wiring bridge and the motor should stop. If so then the switch needs replacing. Get the idea?

All good the old switch and the wires were faulty . Just wired a new stop switch in and everything works again :-)
