Hi guys.
I just wanted to post up my morning on the water and thank a good samaritan.
I found my self in a spot of bother in the Gold Coast Seaway a few hours ago. My Yamaha 30hp decided not to start (after a faultless run all morning/Never missed a beat). I was in no immediate danger, So we had the emergency paddles out to point us in the right direction to see what the drama was. After 20 mins and then radio in hand to call VMR etc or Flag someone for help, a random gentleman in a tinnie heading outside fishing changes direction towards us. Asks if we are ok, then offers a tow back to the ramp.
We kindly say yes and we get home safe and sound. I dont know this guy but he refused to take my money and wished us well after he helped beach it.
I would do the same I know but your forever grateful when a fellow boaty helps out.
