Hey all, was looking at picking up a vixen but decided to give it a miss after checking it out.
Brother has a mint condition sportscraft diplomat, kept under cover and and looked after for the last seven years. These boats in good nic generally go for around 7-8k. I can have it for 3.5 if I want. Not sure about this boats ability to handle a rough seas, its very narrow, has a flattish stern and and seems flimsy to me.
The rustler seems rock solid with a thick and strong transom, deep v, just feels like it could take a pounding. Its 6.5k.
Up here in whyalla calm days are pretty rare so its a case of older deep v vs newer cleaner, but fairweather sportscraft. Any opinions?
