how to remove leg of 2006 tohatsu 40 hp

can any one out ther tell how to take leg of 40 hp tohatsu needs water pump changed un done 6 bolts do i hgave to remove one pin or both and which pin top or bottom i have removed top but still wont come off or is ther any thing else i havent done ,anyone done this befor and comr across same problem

I do my 2001 mdl and as you said its the 6 bolts and the lower pin on the gear shift shaft, I didn't know there was a higher pin. The leg may be stuck a little bit so it may take some jiggling and persuasion but it shouldn't be too difficult. How long ago since it was last taken off. Very good motor btw.

Remove the pin from the shift shaft and make site there's not a bolt under the anode
