Kookaburra Park, Karana Downs?

Hi guy's, has anyone fished this area before, looked for fishing platforms on google and this one as well as others popped up. Do we bother with this area or try somewhere else? CHEERS woody. ps, basically looking for somewhere for the kids :P

woody74, I've seen a couple of vids of nice 1m+ threaddys(on live prawns) and bullys (on live mullet)from that area and there is bound to be craploads of catties around to keep the kids busy too. Ben

We used to fish there as kids and only got cat fish

I used to fish that place about 10 years ago.
Cast net for mullet on bank left side of ramp then used them for catching bull sharks lots of fun

My cousin lived on the banks there in Karana for about 5 years not many years ago. Fishing wasn't spectacular except for the odd thready and shark, but the big surprise was mid winter mud crabs in what seemed to be almost full fresh water. He had pots in the water all year round, but June July would see his catches increase remarkably.
