Just wondering who uses a fuel preservative in their fuel tanks and if so which one ?
I hear a lot of Yanky blokes recommending Seafoam http://www.seafoamsales.com/sea-foam-motor-treatment/
Thanks Dave

I use the one that Whitworths sell. Worth the dough especially if you expect not to fish for a while. For eg I fill with 98 and if I dont use what I expect to, have a lot lft and dont expect to fish for a while I will add this at the ramp and I then im covered.

Fair dunkum hey. Its a wonder they haven't bee taken for false advertising given the number of years they have been available. Can the petrochemical engineers on here explain why its snake oil?

I did a search a while ago and could not find any independent scientific, verifiable testing of these products. Such as university tests.

Lots of anecdotal stuff, but nothing i would call independently verified proof supported by real data. Plenty of blokes saying it definitely works in thie boats but..........

If someone has seen such testing and data, would love to find out!

Ok the reason I am asking is I have an american v8 car and a v8 boat + a suzuki hayabusa that have done the same thing .They all run BP 98 and they all have fouled plugs up if not used with in 6 to 7 months to the stage not one cylinder will fire. To me there has to be wrong with fuel tthese days.

I can put up pics of the plugs but they all look good and will throw a spark out side of the engines but will not fire up even 1 cylinder .
