Thought this may interest some, a movie which shows current flows and salinity modelling by CSIRO for Moreton Bay (the one up is for the 5th to 22nd of June 2013) but you get the idea.

The fli animation file i downloaded and it played in Quicktime for me on a Mac,
the SST down the bottom is worth a look as well
