smartcraft is a mercury only language. You can now get a mercury smart guages (there are three configurations) if you have smartcraft installed. Thost meters have the ability to chnage the smartcraft language into NMEA 2000 that you can see data on.

In other words, you need to ensure you have smartcraft in operation (not ready or enabled), then purchase the new guages, then hook up from the guage into say a Lowarnce HDS or any other NMEA 2000 enabled device.

If you engine is only smartcraft rready / enabled - then the harness is approx $1500 fitted, then $300 - $600 for the guage (depending on which one), then the network adaptor and finally the NMEA 2000 screen is all you need to invest to make it happen. :)

Mikita,

Mercury make a Mercury Gateway Cable. It is so you can run nmea 2000 devices to read the Mercury.
These harnesses are $ 440. They are available for all Smartcraft compatible engines. If you want to let me know
You engine model and serial number, I can let you know if you're engine will suit this harness.
You can also call me on 07 3889 3033. Troy @ Seaquest Performance.
