In need of a rod repairer, Brisbane north side

hey all, im in search of a good rod repaier on the north side of brisbane. i lent one of my live fibres to my mate cause i felt sorry for him after his some of his rods got knocked off. long story short while they were on the water some how the tip of my rod ended up resting on the lip of an esky an then some one sat on the esky lid an there goes the top guide. problem is instead of him telling me about it he has tried to fix it him self but has managed to burn an damage the blank about an inch of the way down. the repair is way out of my skill level and i was hoping some one could reccomend a repair to get the rod back in action.

Trim it back an inch and remove the binding, then buy the right size tube tip and hot melt glue it on. Would only be outside of your expertise if you were born without arms and legs.

Hmmm when you say it that way it really dosnt sound hard at all haha. I think I was more concerned about doing further damage. Gives me a job to do tomorrow I guess
