Has anyone used a white compass with black lettering, I'm wondering if they suffer from glare or are harder to read than the standard black compass. I've only used the black variety. Examples below.
Thanks

Might be showing my ignorance (or the age of my compass!) but isn't the "printing" on the black ones actually fluorescent stuff that glows in the dark, not white writing?

Thanks JT
My new boat is coming with a white compass. I was slightly concerned with glare and ease of reading because in 45 years of using compasses, this will be the first time I will use a white one. In fact I have never seen a white one before.

Hi Feral, I've seen both fluorescent and plain white writing.
