Mailing JT Some Slimies

JT has been trying to convince me to mail him up boxes of Slimies. You can get them at the market cheaply down here.

He suggested they be well frozen and packed in a freezer box. He has a fixation with slimies and dreams about them often it appears. Slimey dreams you would call them.

Naturally I'm worried that they will thaw out somewhere on route, there won't be any return address that's for sure.

Has anybody tried it?

Folks slimies have to be salted. Dont buy them. Catch them, Could have got a few hundred kilos last weekend off sydney if so inclined. Always thought why arent they properly marketed to qld fishos then the usual of how much it costs to run a comapny in oz rears its head.

Catchem, brinem , dry and salt, cryovac, rock up at 1770 with a shed load of dead bait. Proceed to show queenslanders how to catch mackerel. Yeh you get my drift.

The slimie was sent on a fact finding mission.

It took 8 days to arrive which is a little unfortunate.

We don't know what condition it was in and whether it has caught a fish yet.?? Judging by JT's response you would not be positive about the outcome.

The slimie wasn't a slimie at all but a WA sardine fit for human consumption so at least JT can eat it if the fish don't.

It was sent well frozen and wrapped in newspaper.
