Something like http://www.samallen.com.au/index_inner.php?page=100003&searchType=&search=&category=15&itemID=3620&part=49918 might do the job or make something similar yourself. Have a look at Pete Pakula http://www.pakula.com.au/ I heard him talk at the offshore info night a while back and he is an absolute wealth of knowledge and he is always happy to give advice.

Reelax got a new one out that you can adjust the angle as well.Look at their web page.

You can get these from whitworths and others that are shorter. Both just slot into your existing gunnel rod holder

ive got two of the inserts like the link above but the sit at 90 degrees to the boat.. best thing ever, got them at a garage sale for 10 bucks and really good for setting two livies away from each other as well.. most often the lures that sit in the clearer water have done the damage for me as well :)

I've also got two of the ones on the above "samallen" link and they are great. Lock in to existing rod holders, easy to stow away and very strong. Just make sure you glue in the plastic rod protector inserts or they fall off.

I got two of these a few months ago:

they are excellent for everything- fast trolling slow trolling bottom fishing. Cost about $200 with postage from the states. well worth it IMO because you don't loose rod holders. very solid too.
