wayno, i was told only to vary speed every 3-5 minutes for the first 10 hours, service after 20 hours to tighten everything up.....on my old 60hp 2 stroke merc it was not go over 3000 revs for first 20 hours, have you been told different for the 70h yamaha?

i should also add that i am very happy with that yamaha mob at burpengary so far
my steering had a cracked nut that i didnt know about, so they only charged trade price, $160, to replace the steering cable with no labour costs, as they said they had to work in that area anyway, im certain the place where i had my outboard serviced for 7 years would not have done that

congrats mate, hopefully all ya recent bad luck with you outoard will change now and you should still be able to get a good feed of crabs.that spot where you had been crabbin still has good numbers, but on a down side plenty of sharks there also...we pulled 29 crabs out of there last sunday
