Guys, looking at doing an overnight camp and fish on Bribie Islands eastern beach next week. Looked up the national parks website and it painted a grim picture with all four lagoons running across the beach, fallen trees and only being able travel on the beach one hour each side of low tide.

Whilst we have a Prado our off road experience has been limited to Moreton Island and we haven't done Bribie as yet. The idea was to spend the day slowly traversing the beach and fishing the gutters etc.

Any advice welcome.

Cheers.

For a start you need a permit to go on the beach and another if you are going to camp
Both can be obtained from the bait shop in Ningi as you go towards Bribie.
They also close the roads in the park quite often.
If you ring Nigel there (Gateway Bait and Tackle) he will be able to tell you all you need to know

It is a bit rugged at the moment what with all the weather

Best of luck

Some good fish at the moment
