Guys,
I went & bought some hex head skirted lures today & the bloke at Wellsy's Kawana was great in helping me out. He rigged one from start to finish so I had a model to do the others on.
My question is- I bought a wind on leader that has a nylon?? loop on the end, & he said to tie a ????? knot. He gave me a printed sheet showing me how it worked, but no the name of the knot. It was something to do with a double???
I'm loading the boat tonight for tomorrow & can't finish rigging this thing.

Any help would be great.

Plaited double or Bimini twist, doubt that he would have done a spider hitch
Then cats paw the double loop onto the wind-on

A Double, either bimini twist or aussie plat.
Attached to wind on by a cats paw.

cats paw is a great little knot, tip for new players though, make sure both lengths of the double are equal (tight) before cinching up the knot, otherwise you might as well being using a single line instead of the double. It's not hard to do but the first few goes it's not hard to forget to get the lengths of double tight.

cheers.
