I know this is a long shot but in the early '90's I put my Sea Martin in to the late, great Mal Ferguson at Scarborough (ex Moreton) , Qld for a quick cleanup. Unfortunately Mal was taken from us & in the aftermath my reel was lost. I would be quite willing to reimburse any costs. And I know what it looks like!!!!

You might get a cheaper mk 2 on ebay......
You also could put the story on Scarborough local paper....... see if it jogs someones memory........
But the trail is a bit cold..
good luck

Thanks Randell
It was a great surf reel. You could just about cast over the horizon with it

Mate, if you don't want it please let me know as I'm visiting my baby bro soon, who has got into some nice jewies of late & I don't have any of that sort of gear & well, you know how it is...........I can't let him outfish me, can I. (Although I'm sure the @$#* will)
