I wanna put marine carpet in boat for family trips with missus and kids for a bit of comfort. Just wanna loose lay it for easy removeability. Question is any way to stop it from sliding around on fibreglass floor. Thanks.

Yeah mate was thinking of studs but was just worried about forgetting about them and thay get rusted up. Majority of the time boat is used for fishing with mates and just using rubber mats which is a bit hard on the kids feet.

How do you fix strips down

The double sided tape that you can buy with the velcro tape usually works a treat. 50mm x 200mm works well.

I have pedestal seats in my boat and have screwed the pedestal down on top of the carpet... that is the only thing holding it down and have the entire floor covered.... I have never felt like the flooring was going to slip and am very happy with it just like that.. if I want to lift the back half of the boat I can just lift it up to the seats and if I want to remove it completely for whatever reason I can just undo the screws holding the pedestals down and take the seats and carpet out in one hit.
