Hey 610. I have a mate with a 2009 200hp HPDI on his 625 Cruisecraft. Around 400 hours so far and all good. Averages around 1.7km/L economy.

Seems to me you either get a good one or a bad one.. the local wrecker here has quite a few power heads in various states

Ring the wreckers and ask, they had at least 6 blocks last time I was there... didnt see any hour meters associated with them so cant comment
hey spaniard king thanks for the reply. What motor would you suggest in the 175/200hp range keeping in mind i dont want to go much over about 220 kg.
appreciate your thoughts craig

hi
have a search on hulltruth there seems to be a lot of unhappy customers over there with them
have talked to a few guys over here with 175s mosttly and they are happy
but it seems there is a big question mark on the bigger 200-250s good luck

they need someone who knows what they are doing to look after them, with a knowlegable Tech, they are a great motor, and will run for years and years, with a so so mechanic, they can fail miserably, like all high performace equipment.

Hey Craig. I've just put a deposit on the new yammy 4-stroke 200 it only weighs 226kg they have been released but are expected in 2-3 weeks. Hopefully there as good as they say. Brisbane Yamaha cheapest by far. Food for thought anyway.
Cheers JB
Hey jb thanks for the reply would it be possible for you to pm me the price you got it for
thanks craig

610 what hull is it going on ?? The 200 yam 4 cyl may struggle on a heavy hull I would have thought but is the best option in that weight category
hey gary it is going on a rebuilt cruise craft reef ranger with a 600mm hull extension boat wieght is about 1100 kg and 22 degree deadrise.
