Hi All
Can someone help me out with the link about having to have a flag attached to your outboard while towing.
I am trying to find if there are any set dimensions etc for it.

Thanks

30cm square minimum of high vis material.
Mandatory if the extremity of the outboard is greater than 120cm behind the trailer lights.
Boat tie downs are mandatory as well on all trailered boats.

Mrs H, the large place starting with B that sells fishing and camping gear sells them.
here is the link. Your looking for safety requirements. They need to be 45cm by 45cm

Hi
Thanks. I thought they had to be orange but they say Red, Yellow or red and yellow high vis.

All the ones I have seen have been orange so thats what I am making.

Mrs H if your making one then can I suggest a bag with draw string rather than a flag.

The bag is useful because it protects you and others from prop whacks while walking around the stern. Also if you use it to collect tie downs etc then you never can forget to put them all back on when leaving.
