Just a heads up for anyone who uses Viccie Pt,

Had a look this morning at high tide and the pontoon has broken off with all the rough weather and is hanging on by one end, imagine it will be out of action for a while.

PS there where a couple of blokes moving moored boats around in the channel, imagine they would be having a hell of a time.

I hope they don't use it as the model for the new one at Manly

Hopefully with the pontoon gone during all that cross wind and waves it'll move some of sand build up out from the ramp.

So how long did it take for your Sunday watch the festivities at the boat ramp ice cream to melt Mike?

See you friday mate.

The grass should be knee high by then.

Rod you wont know the place, that big tree on the side just came down an hour ago, missed everything except the neighbours pool wall and ripped up some downpipes. Been a windy night. Lucky he built that wall tough, hardly a scratch, he's been asking the council to remove this tree for a while

Its a mess out there and you have to feel for those boat owners,

I saw one guy on a surfboard paddling out to his yacht off Pt Halloran to check his anchor, he got there finally, but geez he took a risk, a boat isnt worth it

Well at least Rod is happy - he'll be a busy lad the rest of summer after all this rain, the damn grass will be springing out of the ground!

Hey, thanks for the heads-up. Does anyone know how the Viccie Point ramp is fairing today (Tuesday)? Can we still launch from it?

If we can't, how is it launching from the other ramp just down the esplanade?

Nicko, this morning it was completely blocked off, pontoon is gone so its a wait and see. The other ramp looked ok
