Depends on the damage. But it's nothing for parts to come to 2 grand and labour another 2. Honestly better off trying to find a good second hand motor and part your current one out depending on age of motor.

What model and year of motor?
Some power heads are quite cheap to completely replace.

Depends on what needs doing, if the crank is shot there may not be much change out of 5K
