Hi all

Looking to re-prop my 30hp tohuatsu. I currently run a 9.9x11 and its a bit beat up and is due for replacement. I do a fair bit of slow trolling, and find that as slow as i can go is almost too fast, and that when i do this the motor stalls out at times. So i was thinking if i drop pitch down to a 10 or 9 or similar, would i be able to go slower with a few more rpm?
This would also improve my hole shot right? But decrease top speed?

Am I on the right track here? Has anyone re-proped for the same reason, and if so what size id you go?

Thanks in advance.

Rob

cant help you with the prop but my mate has a 40 tohatsu on a quinny dory and he does alot of slow trolling. He has a milk crate tied to the transom that he deploys overboard and it slows the trolling right down.
