Have no idea,im talking about the rubber round thing in centre of the hole,It is split between the fuel line,fuel in one end and out the other,it is all rubber and a resin filled back and has what appears to be a sender or power wire coming up to the console area.

Fuel flow sender. Would have been connected to a meter on the dash, or sounder, gauge etc.

Looks like a fuel sender for the older Navman/Northstar units.

S = signal to sender unit +
L = + power for the light bulb
G = ground (earth)
i = ignition + power
we normally wire the i and L terminals together to the ignition positive.

Have you earthed the other terminal on the sender??
The terminal on the sender with the wire on the opposite side is the signal wire.
Does it only go hard over when the sender is connected??
thanks jim
