OK i am going to go and try to fish in the Mary tomorrow leaving from lamington Bridge ramp, have only been up and down the river a few times so i just after some spots to try to catch a fish !!! any tips would be great..

head downstream from the lammie for about a kilometre... tinana creek heads off to the right behind a little island. at the mouth of the creek there are some fantastic snags and are usually plenty of prawns coming out of there too. At this point the river is very shallow and pebbly bottom so you can also try for salmon here. I cast netted a small barra here and also a 52cm bass so there are fish around.
Plenty of catties too.
