-Flares
-Epirb
-V sheet
-Mars Bars
-knife
-V sheet and mirror

I think that it should be mandatory that boats should have a separate rope tied of onto a forward cleat with a float on it that can be used quickly as a form of towing rope and easily deployed.

looks like I'll be getting one for Christmas, so that's why I'm after ideas.

I like the idea of a mars bar but it would but it would be a gooey mess after a few months in the tinny.

So far I got flares and a V sheet, small suncream and insect repelent.

would like to add

head hurt pills
500ml-1l water
knife
waterproof torch and battries
hand held gps [I have one allready]
hand held vhf
some sort of energy bar
signal mirror
whistle
first aid kit
and maybe even a good playboy mag.

this will all depend on available space

We also throw a 3 o 4 cyalume light sticks in there. Handy if the batteries and electricals are not playing for any reason. Plus they will glow for hours and hours when cracked.

EPIRB and fire extinguisher are on searate brackets under seat box where they can be grabbed quickly. Flares, mirror, V sheet, handheld compass, and small torch are in grab bag. Along with service log for inflatable life jackets.

Cheers
