Spent the evening mapping out the available real estate on the transom of our Caribbean Reef Runner preparing to fit a set of Lenco tabs. Have checked the measurements for where I can fit them without creating major works to move other bits.

Finally found measurements that work for both sides, but am outside the spec in the manual.

The manual states that the outside edge of the tab should be between 25 to 100mm from the chine.

The optimum mounting to avoid other fittings and obey the other rules in the book is 135mm.

Will that 35mm really make that much difference?

Ya got no problem where they are in that pick, to me your best putting them where they fit best... the tab will work well where you have it

Thanks Garry.

Any thought on how far away I should mount the transducer? Immediately next to the tab towards the Centreline would be ideal. Will the tab cause issues? Should I try to be closer to the Centreline?

Looks fine compared to my Lencos.

I would keep to the standard rules i.e stay away from strakes/chines (keep it in clear water) I would like at least 100mm from the tabs. Mount it level with the hull but lower than the hull i.e (not angled up or down)
