I realise this is a "How long is a peice of string" type question but this W/E (Along with a trillion others no doubt:-?) I want to head out offshore Moreton / Straddie for the first time....in general which is the best country....Cape moreton reefs or SPB reefs?

Cheers

Hey Crunchy. Having fished both these areas for a few years I can tell you they both produce quality fish at different times of the year. There are lots of options in both areas. If you head out of Scarborough you can head slightly south east of cape moreton and fish the shallow reefs from 25-30m, you can head up to hutchies and troll or drift the reefs up there, you can fish the shoals as well. Plenty of spots to explore. Through SPB you can fish Sevens reef, or the exposed rocks, or go wider and troll or bottom bash the reefs. Both good options. Just need to explore to find your spots. Hope this info helps. Cheers Dave
