Apologies to Harro75, but could this be a turrum?

Here a few more pics of what should be indentifying features.

Firstly, the conspicuous black spot on the base of the pectoral fin

Black spot and Yellow caudal and anal fins. Anal fin fringed mostly in white.

White edge to second dorsal

White upper edge to bottom tail ray

Any clues guys?

Only problem is that photos of Turrum do not show the black spot at the base of the pectoral fin, whereas the GT on the Qld Fisheries site seems to suggest this is/could be a feature. ??

Isn't it an ordinary old Trevally? I get heaps of them in my canal at Raby Bay amongst the mullet schools and I always they was trevallies?

Caranx species

Most likely a GT.

Just a garden variety everyday trevally. True there is some variation among types of trevors, but common as.

I always enjoy catching them tho, especially the big huers
