It was very cool just as we reached totality. Within about 10 seconds it went very dark. Very impressive and you can see some Solar Prominences.

I'm out at edmonton just south of Cairns. I woke up in the morning and didn't expect to see a thing with cloud everywhere. By 6.15am it was clear as a bell with not a cloud in sight. Was an awesome experience. The whole place went dark and I think the temperature dropped a couple of degrees for the time as well.

98% blocked where I was but you hardly knew. I did a GoPro time lapse and it is not worth posting.

Your photos are fantastic.

In Caloundra I think it was about 70% blocked but you wouldn't have picked that anything had changed although through some proper lenses you could see the moon going across the face . there were a few people with fancy cameras about and I they looked a bit disappointed.

Thanks for sharing your pics Daintreeboy
