Anyone know the technical name of the zip ties used on fuel lines, trying to buy some outside of the genuine ones (which are bl@@dy expensive)

Even better if you can point me in the right direction to buy them?

For those that don't know they fit snuggly around a tube/pipe not just a standard zip tie.

TIA

Hi Garry, try these guys, i dunno if they have what you're after but they have some brilliant cable clamping systems and you may be interested in some of their press on glanding/connection systems for corrugated conduits giving an IP69k seal (automotive electronics submersible waterproof type seal). we had a look at their stuff at work the other day after not seeing it for years and came away impressed.

hey Gary,
This might sound like an obvious question, but can't you find out what they call the genuine ones?

Do you mean snapper hose clamps?... the ones that look like garden sprinkler clamps?

Garry, I recall being told a long while back that Mercury hold the patent for that specific cable tie.

I've always usedOETIKER Stepless Single Ear Clamps in the welding game for sealing gas and fluid lines.
They have to be cut off though. If you do use them, don't crimp them with side cutters. You have to use proper parallel crimpers to ensure a seal.

Gary

Try and Google "Corbin Clamps".
