SCGFC will be hosting a new member/tackle night on Wednesday October 3 at Davo's in Noosa. The committee would like to thank Peter and his Davo's team, in advance, for opening their shop to us for the night. I am sure there will be a bargain or two to get your hands on….
The night will focus on all aspects of entry level light tackle fishing on a budget in the interest of getting people catching billfish close to home with the correct methods, safety and fish conservation in mind.
Run by SCGFC President, Brent Higgins and Club Captain, Rob (Smithy) Smith, the night will include demo's on rigging, gear, plus loads more. SCGFC Committee members will also be on hand to answer any questions.
As the first tournament for the year is on October 13 and 14 with an entry fee of $110, this night will provide all the skills for new members and those thinking of joining to be able to go and catch inshore billfish.
